Surge in fussy eating children

+Plant has featured in an article on the rise of fussy eating children during the Covid-19 Pandemic, published throughout News Corp Australia on September 28th 2021, including SMARTdaily of The Daily Telegraph, The Advertiser, Courier Mail, Herald Sun, NT News, and The Mercury.

The issue of fussy eating children is certainly important, and is one of the main motivations behind developing +Plant. Our founder Todd Robertson had first hand experience with his own son’s fussy eating, and his penchant for chicken nuggets! Hence the development of Chicken +Plant nuggets and tenders. Children can enjoy food they love, and parents can rejoice knowing +Plant is a healthier hybrid version with no nasties. Family mealtimes can be a struggle, and we are hoping +Plant can lesson the stress for some parents.

“‘The feedback we’re receiving from customers is that they have been struggling even more than usual to please their children at mealtimes,’ says +Plant founder Todd Robertson” - SMARTdaily

The problem with trying to serve up healthy food, or incorporate vegetables into a meal for your fussy eater, is that most children will refuse to eat it. Children have a knack for spotting hidden vegetables and next thing the meal you have lovingly prepared goes to waste.

As discussed in SMARTdaily;

“…it’s become a problem for more than half of parents who are wasting up to $50 a week because their kids refuse to eat nutritious food prepared for them, according to food company +Plant, which makes nuggets from chicken and plant protein.”

The great thing about +Plant nuggets and tenders? We use RSPCA approved chicken breast and blend it with a specific plant protein formula that you won’t even know is there! Our plant protein has been developed to blend seamlessly with chicken without affecting texture and crunch. +Plant nuggets and tenders have been taste-tested with plenty of fussy eating children, all giving them the thumbs up!
